Nadia is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience, having worked with adults in private practice as well as in specialist public mental health services, including youth mental health, eating disorders and paediatric chronic pain.
Nadia strives to provide a warm, supportive and collaborative environment, within which you can explore your presenting problems, with the aim of assisting you to make sense of these difficulties, while also working toward achieving your goals. After conducting an assessment, Nadia will provide the evidence based therapy best suited to address your primary concern(s). Mariyon is a qualified and experienced relationships expert who has also personally experienced a toxic relationship, recovery after divorce and a long-term relationship that includes step parenting.
Her compassionate expertise includes being able to give a neutral perspective to your problems, being empathetic without sitting in judgement, using attachment theory and current research/best practice models for strong relationships. Helping you to understand more about yourself with insight in untangling concerns and working on self-acceptance.
Mariyon focuses on how we engage with ourselves, and how we can optimise our lives. Areas of speciality include conflict, dysfunctional family dynamics, toxic relationships, affairs, divorce recovery, singles seeking new relationships and couples counselling. Chris is a Clinical Psychologist with a number of years working in the public health system. He is an internationally accredited advanced Schema Therapist, trainer and supervisor and has a wealth of experience in treating individuals with personality disorders and trauma. Schema Therapy can also help people who experience recurring negative life patterns, such as difficulty being assertive or difficulty trusting others, and problems based on childhood or adolescent experiences. Chris is also experienced in treating trauma, with evidence-based treatments such as Imagery Rescripting and EMDR. He has been involved in the delivery, coordinator and establishment of DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) Programs for a number of years.
